What is Coaching?
Choosing to work with someone to support your growth is a powerful and courageous step — and it’s important to understand the kind of support you’re signing up for. While coaching and therapy can complement one another beautifully, they are not the same. I am a coach, not a therapist, and understanding that difference helps you make an informed decision about what’s right for you.
Coaching is a collaborative, future-focused partnership. Together, we look at where you are now, where you want to be, and how to get there. Coaching is about:
Clarifying your values, desires/goals, and priorities
Identifying obstacles and creating practical strategies
Building awareness, confidence, and self-trust
Developing skills and habits to support lasting change
Celebrating progress and learning from setbacks
Our conversations are designed to help you discover new perspectives, challenge limiting beliefs, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want. It’s active, creative, and focused on growth and action.
Choosing the right Coach:
It’s important for me to share this with you.
When looking for a Coach, please be aware that Coaching is an unregulated industry, which means anyone can call themselves a coach. That’s why it’s important to work with someone who has undertaken comprehensive, accredited training.
My coaching approach is informed by professional study, recognised standards, and ongoing education — so you can trust the process and the support you receive from me.
For you to make the most out of this commitment, please make sure you ask your potential coach the following questions:
How long did you train to become a Coach?
How long did you train to become an ADHD Coach?
What credentials do you have? Look them up.
These are standard questions for which you are paying for their services, but also a service that is for your own health.
Choosing to work with a coach is a courageous and progressive step — well done for getting here! Please don’t just choose anyone.
It’s so important to find someone who will work closely with you and truly listen to your needs and desires, whilst having an education in ADHD.
As an ADDCA-trained coach, my aim is to help you feel empowered, confident, and in control, so you can harness your strengths and create a life that feels fulfilling and meaningful.
